Olivia Torres

About Olivia:

First and foremost, my faith is the most important thing to me and my personal relationship with God is what I value most. I grew up in Danville, California with my parents and younger brother.I come from a family of athletes and ever since I can remember my life has been centered around sports. The best memories I have growing up are with my dad, who used sports to help me understand life lessons of toughness, perseverance, and accountability. I’ll never forget that he signed me up for baseball for my first season (which was supposed to be softball) and I was the only girl on the team. My character was shaped through sports and my willingness to persevere translates beyond the game. I am a former Division 1 soccer player at the University of Nevada, Reno. Unfortunately, my collegiate athletic career abruptly ended due to far too many knee surgeries. However, my passion for sports will always remain. I graduated in May of 2020 from UNR with a Kinesiology degree. Now as I pursue my M.A. in Sport Management at USF, there is a fire burning in me to become a successful sport business professional. I’m honored to be the NorCal VP of the USF Sport Marketing Sport Marketing Association because it is an invaluable opportunity to gain experience in the sport marketing world, expand my and the team’s network, and learn from each other’s unique perspectives.
